Kasey's Selfless Donation
Year 8 student, Kasey, has established a selfless legacy; donating his hair to support those in need.
Kasey’s last haircut took place almost a decade ago and he has spent the last 9 years re-growing his hair for donation.
This year, Kasey embraced the big trim, making 28 inches of hair available to the Little Princess Trust; a charity that provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer and other conditions. The charity received the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service and recently provided their 15,000th wig to those in need.
Kasey’s proud parents commented; “It costs hundreds of pounds to make just one wig and a lot of hair. We are very proud of Kasey for doing this.”
Kasey’s Head of House, Mr Edwards, also commented; “We are incredibly proud of Kasey for doing such a wonderful thing for a charity that provides great support to children and young people. Kasey's desire to do this from such a young age and to brave the cut after 9 years demonstrates his kindness and care for others.”
