Bletchley Park Trip

🚀 Year 9 had an inspiring Computing trip to Bletchley Park and The National Museum of Computing! ✨

At Bletchley Park, the students explored the historic estate that was home to the Codebreakers during WWII. They walked through the restored huts and grounds where heroes like Alan Turing and the team cracked the Enigma and Lorenz codes, shaping the future of computing and altering the course of history.

Just steps away at the National Museum of Computing, the group immersed themselves in the world’s largest collection of working historic computers. Housed in Block H—the site of the original Colossus machines—they experienced everything from WWII-era Bombe devices to mainframes from the 1950s–70s and even the BBC Micro!

This hands‑on visit brought the story of computing to life, showing how early innovations in code‑breaking led to the digital world we live in today. A brilliant mix of history, tech, and curiosity, sparking the next generation of computer scientists! 💡
