Goin' 't' 'T'oscars

Did you know that some of our Y13s and their families went T'Oscars on Tuesday evening at Tupton Hall School?

The 12th Tupton Hall T'Oscars took place on Tuesday evening with a showcase of Year 13 Media Studies music videos and, for the first time, short films from our first A Level Film Studies cohort.

Mr Welch said:
"Once the exams are out of the way, it is always lovely to celebrate students' creative work on a big screen with friends and family. This group have driven the standards really high."

Awards include the Audience Choice Awards, Best Film and Best Actor plus the Critics Choice Awards which is chosen by former students and teachers of media and film.

Audience Choice Award - Olivia M(Glum)
Runner Up - Ava P (Ex-Factor)
Best Film - Amelia M (An Urn)
Best Actor - Gracie H
Critics' Choice Award - Olivia M (Glum)

Olivia and Amelia have also been nominated for the EMC Media Mag Awards for their short films. The competition receives over 500 nominations and is held at the British Film Institute in London on 10th July.

Mr Welch added: "This is a massive achievement. The standard at these national awards is so high. So, to have 2 students shortlisted is incredible. I can't wait to see their films in this competition and am hoping for another Tupton Hall victory!"
