Golfing superstar secures place in America

Talented student Eva secures her place at MyUSA

Talented golfer Eva Myers is looking forward to an incredible new chapter as she prepares to embark on her MyUSA journey, combining her passion for golf with exciting opportunities overseas.

When asked how she was feeling ahead of the trip, Eva said:

"I'm feeling very excited. I'm going to see so many new parts of the world and meet so many new people. I'm most looking forward to the life I'll have over there and being able to do the thing I love every day."

Eva's golfing journey began at the age of seven and has been packed with remarkable achievements ever since. She joined the Derbyshire Scratch Team at just 12 years old, won Ladies Matchplay at 13, and claimed the Derbyshire Girls Championship three years in a row.

Among her proudest achievements are winning the England National School Championship, the British Junior Championship, the Brontë Law Event, and the Ladies Amateur Championship (Derbyshire). Eva is also a member of the England East Midlands squad, holds a World Amateur Golf Ranking, and currently plays off an impressive handicap of -2.

Balancing elite-level sport alongside education requires commitment and discipline, but Eva has found a routine that works for her.

"I balance school and golf very efficiently. I work hard in school and golf in the evenings and all weekend, then try to revise at night."

Looking ahead, Eva has ambitious plans for the future. She hopes to study Sport Management in America while continuing to pursue her dream of playing golf professionally.

"My future in golf contains getting a major in Sport Management in America, along with playing professionally and making a name for myself. Sport Management also opens a lot of doors such as sport marketing, event operations and running major athletic programmes."

As she prepares for this exciting opportunity, Eva remains grateful for the support she has received.

"I'm very grateful for this amazing opportunity."

Everyone at Tupton Hall School wishes Eva the very best as she takes this exciting next step in her golfing journey. We look forward to following her future successes
