Mr Betts braves the shave!

As part of our ongoing fundraising campaign for Ashgate Hospice, one brave member of staff stepped forward to take on the ultimate challenge and brave the shave in support of this fantastic cause.

After weeks of mystery, speculation and plenty of denials, the secret is finally out... it was Mr Betts all along!

Students and staff gathered together to witness the moment Mr Betts said goodbye to his hair, helping to raise vital funds for a charity that means so much to so many within our community.

Speaking after the event, Mr Betts said:

"It was me all along!

I would like to apologise to all staff and students for essentially lying over the past couple of months. I feel terrible! (Well... a little bit 😊).

When Mr Pateman and I first spoke about the idea of 'Braving the Shave' to raise money for Ashgate Hospice, I had no doubt that this was something I wanted to do. Ashgate Hospice does incredible work and I know it has a special place in many people's hearts, so we really wanted to ensure we raised as much money as we could.

I would like to thank the students of Tupton Hall School, who came together to witness my head being shaved. They really embodied what a true Tupton Hall student is: kind, considerate and full of community spirit.

A massive thank you also goes to everyone who has donated to our school's JustGiving page, shared the page or interacted with our social media posts. It really means a lot.
